Keystone Adds Sawtooth STRETCH ACMS to Product Lineup

Keystone Automotive Operations added Sawtooth STRETCH, an Adaptive Cargo Management System for pickup owners who need more versatility than flat truck bed covers can provide.

Heber City, Utah: Sawtooth announced that Keystone Automotive Operations added Sawtooth STRETCH to its product lineup, expanding access to Sawtooth’s Adaptive Cargo Management System through one of the most recognized distribution networks in the automotive aftermarket.

Keystone’s addition of Sawtooth marked an important step in bringing a different kind of pickup cargo-management product to more retailers, installers, and truck owners.

Sawtooth STRETCH is not a tonneau cover or a truck bed cover. That distinction matters.

Tonneau covers and truck bed covers are flat systems. They are designed to cover cargo that stays below the pickup bed rails. That can work well for luggage, tools, groceries, duffel bags, sports gear, and low storage bins.

But pickup owners do not always haul low cargo.

They haul coolers, camping bins, hunting gear, tools, jobsite equipment, generators, stacked totes, and odd-shaped loads that rise above the bed rails. When that happens, many flat systems have to be folded, rolled, retracted, removed, or left open.

Sawtooth STRETCH was created to solve that limitation. It is an Adaptive Cargo Management System, or ACMS, designed to protect and secure both small and large cargo, including taller, bulkier, and irregular loads that flat systems cannot continue to cover.

Why the Keystone Addition Matters

Keystone Automotive Operations is a major distributor and marketer of automotive aftermarket products and services. Its network gives automotive retailers, installers, and resellers access to a wide range of truck, Jeep, SUV, RV, and specialty aftermarket products.

For Sawtooth, being added to Keystone’s product offering helped validate the need for a more adaptive pickup bed system.

For truck owners, it pointed to a bigger shift in the market. Buyers are not only looking for something that covers the truck bed. They are looking for a system that helps the truck do more.

That is where Sawtooth STRETCH stands apart.

It gives pickup owners increased versatility without forcing every load to stay below a flat surface. It also gives many buyers an alternative to a fixed-height cap when they want more flexibility from the pickup bed.

A Different Category From Flat Truck Bed Covers

Most buyers start with familiar search terms: tonneau cover, truck bed cover, pickup bed cover, cap, rack, or cargo system.

That is understandable. Those are the terms truck owners already know.

But the product category matters when making a buying decision.

A flat truck bed cover can be a good option when the bed is carrying low cargo. A cap can be useful when the owner wants permanent fixed-height enclosed space. A rack can help carry long items above the bed.

Sawtooth STRETCH is different because it adapts over cargo inside the bed.

It can sit lower over everyday cargo and then stretch over taller, bulkier, and more irregular items. That makes it especially useful for pickup owners who use their trucks for camping, work, outdoor recreation, travel, family activities, and weekend projects.

Industry Recognition and Distribution Momentum

Keystone’s addition of Sawtooth followed earlier recognition from the automotive aftermarket industry.

Sawtooth was previously recognized through the SEMA Launch Pad 2021 competition, where D.J. Potter and Sawtooth were named among the Launch Pad semifinalist group.

The Keystone announcement was also covered by THE SHOP’s coverage of Sawtooth joining Keystone’s lineup, helping introduce the product to more aftermarket professionals and truck accessory buyers.

That type of visibility matters in a crowded market.

Truck owners have plenty of choices when shopping for bed systems. The challenge is finding the right product for the way they actually use the truck.

Sawtooth STRETCH gives buyers a more versatile option when a flat-only system is too limiting and a fixed cap is more than they want.

What This Means for Pickup Owners

For truck owners, the practical benefit is simple: more usable cargo capability.

Flat systems are useful when cargo stays below the bed rails. But real pickup loads change from day to day.

A Monday jobsite load does not look like a Saturday camping trip. A hardware-store run does not look like a family road trip. A cooler, toolbox, generator, or stack of bins can quickly turn a flat-cover plan into an open-bed problem.

Sawtooth STRETCH helps bridge that gap by giving pickup owners an adaptive way to protect and secure cargo across more real-world hauling situations.

Sawtooth applications include popular truck models such as the Ford F-150, Ford Ranger, and Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon.

Why Retail and Installer Access Matters

Pickup owners often rely on trusted retailers, installers, and local shops when choosing truck accessories.

That is one reason Keystone’s network is important. Keystone’s Parts Via program connects consumers with aftermarket parts, accessories, towing equipment, local pickup options, installation scheduling, and home delivery options.

That kind of distribution support helps more truck owners find products that fit their vehicle, their cargo, and their daily use.

Sawtooth STRETCH fits especially well for buyers who want more versatility from the pickup bed without committing to one narrow use case.
