Grandwest Adds Sawtooth STRETCH ACMS to Its Product Lineup
Grandwest Enterprises added Sawtooth STRETCH, an Adaptive Cargo Management System for pickup owners who need more versatility than flat truck bed covers can provide.
Heber City, Utah: Sawtooth announced that Grandwest Enterprises added Sawtooth STRETCH to its product lineup, expanding access to Sawtooth’s Adaptive Cargo Management System for Canadian pickup truck owners.
The announcement was an important distribution milestone for Sawtooth because Grandwest has served Canada’s automotive and truck accessory market for decades. Grandwest describes itself as Canadian owned and operated since 1980, with a broad catalog of automotive and truck accessories.
For Sawtooth, the addition meant more than another sales channel. It helped introduce Canadian truck owners to a different category of pickup bed system.
Sawtooth STRETCH is not a tonneau cover or a truck bed cover.
That distinction matters.
Tonneau covers and truck bed covers are flat systems. They are designed to cover cargo that stays below the bed rails. That can work well for luggage, tools, groceries, duffel bags, sports gear, and low storage bins.
But pickup owners do not always haul low cargo.
They haul coolers, camping bins, jobsite tools, hunting gear, fishing gear, stacked totes, generators, and odd-shaped cargo that rises above the bed rails. When that happens, many flat systems have to be folded, rolled, retracted, removed, or left open.
Sawtooth STRETCH was created to solve that limitation. It is an Adaptive Cargo Management System, or ACMS, designed to protect and secure both small and large cargo, including taller, bulkier, and irregular loads that flat systems cannot continue to cover.

Why Grandwest’s Addition Matters
Grandwest Enterprises has long served the Canadian truck accessory market with a wide range of aftermarket parts, accessories, and vehicle products.
For Canadian truck owners, distribution matters. Many buyers prefer to work through established retailers, installers, and distributors when buying vehicle-specific truck accessories.
That is especially important for pickup bed systems, where fitment, bed length, model year, and use case all matter.
Sawtooth STRETCH gives Grandwest customers access to a product that does not fit neatly into the flat-cover category.
A flat tonneau cover can be helpful when the truck bed carries low cargo. A cap can be useful when the owner wants fixed-height enclosed space. A rack can help carry long items above the bed.
Sawtooth STRETCH is different because it adapts over cargo inside the bed.
It can sit lower over everyday cargo and then adapt over taller, bulkier, and more irregular loads. That gives pickup owners increased versatility without forcing every load to stay below a fixed flat surface.
A Different Category From Flat Truck Bed Covers
Most pickup owners start by searching familiar terms like tonneau cover, truck bed cover, pickup bed cover, cap, rack, or cargo system.
Those terms are useful, but they do not all mean the same thing.
A tonneau cover or truck bed cover is a flat system. Its function is limited by bed-rail height. Once cargo rises above that line, the system usually cannot continue covering the load.
Sawtooth STRETCH is an ACMS. It was designed for the way pickup owners actually use their trucks.
That includes weekday work cargo, weekend camping gear, road-trip bags, sports equipment, hunting gear, outdoor equipment, and the occasional hardware-store purchase that looks smaller in the aisle than it does in the truck bed.

Grandwest and Sawtooth Expand Canadian Access
In the original announcement, Grandwest Enterprises noted that Sawtooth gave customers a flexible option for loading above the bed rails while helping keep cargo secure.
D.J. Potter, founder and CEO of Sawtooth, also emphasized the value of the relationship.
“We are excited to offer Sawtooth STRETCH through Grandwest Enterprises,” said Potter. “Grandwest has a strong presence in the Canadian truck accessory market, and we believe this gives pickup owners in Canada a better way to add cargo versatility to their trucks. Sawtooth STRETCH was built for owners who want to load more, haul more, and do more with their pickups.”
The announcement was also covered by THE SHOP’s coverage of Grandwest adding Sawtooth, helping introduce the product to more aftermarket professionals and truck accessory buyers.

What This Means for Pickup Owners
For pickup owners, the practical benefit is simple: more usable cargo capability.
A flat cover can help when cargo stays below the bed rails. But truck owners often carry loads that do not fit that cleanly.
One day the bed may hold groceries and duffel bags. The next day it may hold stacked bins, a cooler, work tools, camping equipment, or a generator. A system that only works for low cargo can become limiting fast.
Sawtooth STRETCH gives pickup owners a more adaptive option. It helps protect and secure smaller everyday cargo while also adapting over taller and bulkier cargo when needed.
That makes it especially useful for owners who use their trucks for:
- Camping and outdoor gear
- Tools and jobsite equipment
- Hunting and fishing equipment
- Sports gear and travel cargo
- Stacked bins, totes, and coolers
- Bulky or irregular loads that rise above the bed rails
Sawtooth applications include popular truck models such as the Ford Ranger, Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon, and Ford Maverick.
